I was truly blessed to have Vanessa as my midwife. From the moment we were introduced, I felt from her such a perfect balance of space and attentiveness, bedside manner and expert wisdom, zen calm and deathly serious, and all the while feeling like a friend I had known my whole life. She was incredibly attuned to my needs at every stage of pregnancy, and always seemed to know exactly what to say to make the hard days a little easier.

As a midwife, she is exceptionally knowledgeable and deeply passionate about what she does. She creates a safe and supportive environment where her patients feel heard, respected, and cared for. She held so much space for us throughout our journey, always answering our questions with patience and never making us feel rushed or dismissed.

Vanessa’s gentle guidance gave me the confidence of knowing that I was giving birth in my own way and on my own terms. I cannot stress enough how much that means to me. It is so easy to be swept up in other people’s fears and fantasies of what your birth should be like. She gave me a pregnancy that feels totally mine, and yet I know it would have been impossible without her. When I think back on my labor, I was in complete harmony with myself and what was important to me, and for that I am eternally grateful.

What meant the most to me was the way she respected all of our decisions and supported us without judgment. Her calm presence, compassion, and confidence made such a positive impact on one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives.

We are incredibly grateful for the care Vanessa provided, and if we ever decide to have another baby, we would absolutely hope to have her as our midwife again. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
